美国留学SAT考试：详解SAT送分拼分政策

 SAT成绩是用于申请美国大学的考试一项重要成绩，大部分名校都需要申请者递交SAT成绩。但是对于考过多次SAT的同学来说，在送分的时候需要考虑的不仅是这所学校是否需要SAT成绩，更要考虑这所学校是否接受SAT拼分的问题。在每年的申请季很多学生都会问到SAT送分问题，那么美国大学到底是怎么看我们的SAT分数的呢？如果我们考了不止一次，他们是取各项Section最高分加起来，还是取最高的那一次的总分？如果第一次考得很差对申请会不会产生负面的影响？其实在送分的时候如果稍加注意地应对这个政策，是可以避开一些申请的不利因素的。下面，沃得天下为大家详细解读SAT送分拼分政策。

      
       那么，什么是SAT拼分呢？SAT的分数要怎么拼？要解释这个问题，先为大家介绍美国大学的六种SAT送分政策：
      
       1、Highest Section Scores Across Test Dates — Version 1(Highest M, CR, W)
      
       大学会提取申请者提交的所有SAT考试成绩的最高一部分分数，即所有成绩中单门的最高分数相加(但大学会参考申请者提交的所有成绩)。申请者可以自由提交任何想提交给大学的新的更高分数。
      
       2、Highest Section Scores Across Test Dates — Version 2(Highest M, CR, W)
      
       大学会提取申请者所有提交的SAT考试成绩的最高一部分分数，即所有成绩中单门的最高分数相加。只有申请者的最高的一次分数会作为最后录取的依据(意味着大学只参看你提交的最高部分分数)。申请者每提交一次更高分数，大学都会更新最高分。(强烈建议每获得一次更高SAT成绩都提交。)
      
       3、Single Highest Test Date — Version 1(Sum of M+CR+W)
      
       大学将提取申请者的单次SAT考试总分最高成绩(包括数学，阅读和写作)。但大学会参考申请者提交的每一次的成绩。申请者可以自由提交自己认为可用的分数给大学。
      
       4、Single Highest Test Date — Version 2(Sum of M+CR+W)
      
       大学将提取申请者的单次总分最高成绩(包括数学，阅读和写作)。只有最高的分数会作为最后录取的依据(意味着大学只参考申请者最高一次的分数)。申请者每提交一次更高分数，大学都会更新新的最高分。(强烈建议申请者每获得一次更高SAT成绩都提交。)
      
       5、All Scores Required for Review 大学认为申请者所有的SAT考试成绩都要进行审查，并要求申请者提交所有日期的所有SAT考试成绩。

       而在以上六种政策中，采取第一或第二种政策的大学就是所谓的允许“拼分”的大学。换句话说，所谓的SAT拼分，就是用各次SAT考试中每部分的最高分拼凑出一个最高总分。
      
       SAT送分拼分规律总结：
      
       1、只有采取“All Scores Required for Review” 的学校是不采取CB的score choice的；
      
       2、"Version 2" 比"Version 1"对我们更有利，因为采取那两种"version 1"政策的学校尽管表面说取你的最高分，但是还是考虑你的低分；
      
       3、 取"highest section"的比取"single highest test date"的对我们更有利，因为"highest section" 分数相加往往能maximize我们的分；
      
       4、我们每次填写那4所免费送分的学校时，应避开采取"version 1"的学校，而填写那些自己list中采取"all scores required"或者"version 2"的学校，前者是因为规定要寄所有分数，后者是因为寄了百益而无害。
      
       CB官方政策解读：How to Send Your Scores with Registration
      
       1、Choose four score recipients for FREE during registration
      
       You can make updates to your score recipients for up to nine days after your test date. To make updates, log in to My SAT.
      
       简注：每位考生注册考试后都有四次免费送分机会。在考试之后9天内，考生可随时更新SAT考分接收人信息。
      
       2、Send additional scores
      
       Fore score sends are included free with your registration. If you choose to send more than four, or to send scores outside the registration time period, you will be charged $10.50 per score send.
      
       简注：四次送分费用是考生注册后免费送的。如果考生要递交超过四份的成绩或想要在注册期以外的时间递交SAT成绩，每次就需要另交$10.5的费用。
      
       How Score Choice Works
      
       1、Select which scores you want to send to your score recipients
      
       Score Choice gives you the option to choose which scores (by test date for the SAT and by individual test for SAT subject Tests) you send to colleges-in accordance with an institution’s stated score-use practice.
      
       If you decide not to use Score choice, all of your scores will be sent to your recipients. Students should still feel comfortable sending all scores, since most colleges consider a student’s best score.
      
       简注：Score Choice(只送部分成绩)功能允许考生选择性地向申请院校递送分数。SAT Reasoning考试可以选择某个考试日期的分数，也就是说，要送就一次成绩一起送，不可以选择这次的阅读和那次的语法组合。SAT Subject考试可以按科目送分，比如这次考了3门，但可以只送2门成绩。
      
       考生也可以选择不用Score Choice功能，这样的话考生的所有成绩都会被递送到学校。
      
       2、Sending scores to college and university systems
      
       For certain college and university systems, once you submit your score to one school, other schools within that system will also have access to your score. Please note, however, that if you are applying to more than one school within a college or university system, it is still important for you to send your SAT scores to each individual school. If you are not sure whether the specific school you are applying to is part of such a system, contact the school’s admissions office.
      
       简注：对于一个院校系统来说，如果考生向某所系统内的学校递交了SAT成绩，那该系统内的其他院校都将能看到你的成绩。但即便如此，考生如果申请了一个院校系统内的多所大学，还是向申请的每所院校都寄送SAT成绩。如果你不确定你申请的院校是否是属于某个大学系统，你可以联系学校的招生办公室。
      
       3、Participating in the Student Search Service
      
       If you decided to participate in the Student Search Service, colleges and universities may identify you to provide you with materials about college admission and financial aid. Student Search Service does not report your course grades, test scores, phone numbers or social security number on a variety of criteria which may include score range, or other variables such as geographical location or expressed interests.
      
       简注：如果你决定加入Student Search Service，那么一些院校就会识别出你，可能为你提供一些入学申请或奖学金申请的材料。Student Search Service不会向任何学院机构透露你的课程成绩、考试分数、电话号码等信息，但是学校可以对考试分数范围、地理位置等比较宽泛的信息做了解。
